Meet the Founder

Minister / Ministerial Chaplain
Bilqis Ibrahim
Women’s conference speaker, workshop facilitator, mentor, author, and outreach minister.
Biography
Minister/Chaplain Ibrahim began her journey with the Lord in 1985 at Greater Bible Temple in Brooklyn under the leadership of Bishop Huie L. Rogers. She furthered her studies at New Greater Bethel.
Minister/Chaplain Ibrahim is a woman who loves the Lord. She is presently a minister and intercessor at The Friendly Church of the Apostolic Faith.
She is the co-founder of WON (Women of NYCHA) / Broken but Not Destroyed in Far Rockaway, Queens, and the founder of Esthershouse Ministry, where she is developing a healing and deliverance ministry.
Authored Books
She has authored three books:
- Broken but Not Destroyed
- Healing Open Wounds
- I Survived the Storm: Still Standing — an anthology of courage, faith, and survival, recently published.
Ministry & Experience
Currently ministering at the Friendly Church of the Apostolic Faith as an intercessor and evangelist.
- Attended New Greater Bethel Church for four years under Pastor Rev. Dr. John H. Boyd II.
- Served for eight years as a licensed minister at Greater Springfield Community Church under Pastor Rev. Dr. Phil Craig, including the Women’s Ministry and Friday Night Prayer Line.

- Singles Ministry
- Prison Ministries
- Evangelism & Intercessory Prayer
Community Service
Parent-to-Parent Volunteer with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), providing support to parents of children with bipolar disorder and/or schizophrenia.
Employment
Presently retired.
- Human Resources Administration — Secretary IIIA, 14 years.
- Bellevue Hospital Psychiatric Unit — Clerical Associate, eight months.
Education & Training
- Certification of Completion in the Study of Evangelism in Long Island City, Queens, New York.
- Accredited Certification in Old and New Testament Studies.
- Master’s in Pastoral Care & Counseling from New York Theological Seminary.
- Certificate of Completion in Chaplaincy Training, NGBBI — September 30, 2020–May 20, 2021.
- Certified US/NYS Chaplain Task Force — November 15, 2022.
